BenQ Now Shipping MH630 Multipurpose Projector

Colorific™ Display Brings 3D-Readiness, Full HD, and Power-Saving Capabilities to Versatile Projection Settings BenQ America Corp., an internationally renowned provider of visual display solutions and the No. 1-selling DLP® projector brand in The Americas(1), today announced that it is now shipping the latest addition in its innovative line of Colorific™ projectors: the MH630. Designed for boardrooms, classrooms, or even home environments, the new multipurpose device combines crisp full HD 1080p picture quality with 3D, PC, and Blu-ray™ readiness. To lower the unit's total cost of ownership (TCO), the MH630 features BenQ's renowned power-saving SmartEco™ technology to bring users up to 6,500 hours of lamp life.

"The new MH630 display has been designed to support the needs of today's multi-application users by providing incredibly versatile projection at an affordable price point," said Bob Wudeck, Associate Vice President, Strategy and Business Development at BenQ America Corp. "Ideal for both permanent installations and presentations on-the-go, the MH630 enhances office presentations, classroom teaching, or content consumption within the home. As a result, users can now experience the high-quality imaging and flexibility normally reserved for higher-priced projectors on an extremely cost-effective device."

Featuring Colorific image quality, BenQ's MH630 brings users accurate, crisp, and long-lasting color — providing more than 1 billion colors without any light burn or degradation over extended usage to reduce users' TCO. Supported by a high 10,000:1 contrast ratio, the unit also provides full HD 1080p resolution and 3,000 ANSI lumens of brightness to enliven ultra-fine projection details regardless of ambient lighting. To bring customers convenient portability, the MH630 integrates 10W speakers and the ability to display 3D content directly from PCs and Blu-ray devices, allowing users to enjoy lifelike projection experiences without any setup complexity. Additionally, the MH630 comes with a carrying case, making it an ideal choice for users on the go.

To further lower TCO, the MH630 features BenQ's SmartEco technology, which automatically adjusts lamp power to deliver up to 6,500 hours of lamp life and energy savings of up to 70 percent without any compromise to picture quality. To further reduce power consumption, an "Eco Blank" mode allows users to blank out the screen whenever projection isn't needed, while a "No Source Detected" mode automatically reduces power consumption to 30 percent when no source has been detected for more than three minutes. With the "Auto Power Off" function, the unit automatically shuts down when not in use for 30 minutes, providing even more energy savings.

Available now, the MH630 projector retails at an MSRP of $1,799. More information on the full line of BenQ products is available at www.BenQ.us.
