Optoma has unveiled the next evolution of the popular GT760 home entertainment projector, the H116ST. Bright and versatile, this portable projector is ideal for gamers or sports and TV fans who want to play the latest games or watch their favourite shows with a super size image. This new home entertainment projector has a short throw lens which produces a huge 100-inch image from just over a metre away from the screen or wall. This means it can be placed on a coffee table near to the screen and no shadows are cast by gamers.

Boasting 3600 lumens, it is brighter than its predecessor, delivering sharp imagery with optimum colour performance - even with the lights on. It also features an enhanced gaming mode with impressive low input latency – perfect for games that rely on rapid reactions.

Optoma launches high brightness 4K UHD projector with Alexa voice control

Film buffs, TV and sports fans can now get brighter imagery, coupled with the same high-end specifications as the popular UHD51A, with the launch of Optoma's UHD51ALVe 4K Ultra HD smart home projector.Featuring Alexa* voice control, 4K crystal clear detail and 3200 lumens, this projector is the ideal solution for big screen viewing any time of day.Kishan Mistry, Senior Product Manager at Optoma EMEA, said: "As the number one brand for 4K UHD projectors worldwide**, we're excited to build on the success of the UHD51A with this higher brightness model. In addition to Alexa support that allows you to adjust the volume, switch inputs, launch content and more, the UHD51ALVe comes equipped with a 4K UHD media player that can play content directly from a USB memory stick and sophisticated PureMotion frame-interpolation technology. This advanced processing eliminates motion blur or image judder, even in high-speed action films or fast-paced sports.

The projector can display true 3D content from almost any 3D source, including 3D Blu-ray players, 3D broadcasting and the latest generation games consoles.

Set-up is simple with vertical lens shift for fuss free positioning and a host of connection options such as two HDMI 2.0 ports. The compact UHD51ALVe with sleek black casing is also lightweight and easy to move around. Packed with the latest technology and features, it boasts High Dynamic Range (HDR) compatibility, HDCP 2.2 support and includes stereo speakers.

With full 8.3 million on-screen pixels, the new model delivers razor sharp, vivid images capable of showing four times more detail than standard HD.

Equipped with Optoma's Amazing Colour technology which includes an enhanced colour wheel and multiple modes and settings to choose from, users have the freedom to select the best setting for the content. Each mode has been fine-tuned by Optoma's expert colour team to ensure superior colour performance. Reference mode reproduces accurate Rec.709 HDTV broadcast spec colours.
