Revamped M5 Projector Series Now Features Improved Brightness and Longer Lamp Life

New Projectors Offer Ultra-Bright 3000 ANSI Lumens, New Presenter Tools, and Up to 10,000 Hours of Lamp Life BenQ America Corp., an internationally renowned provider of visual display solutions, today introduced its revamped line of M5 series projectors. Comprised of the MS504, MS521, MX505, MX522, and MW523, the projectors specifically designed for small to medium-sized spaces, now bring an ultra-bright 3,000 ANSI lumens of brightness, Colorific™ image quality, and an astounding 10,000 hours of maximum lamp life for home, business, and education settings. The projector familys newest products also feature both Blu-ray and stereoscopic 3D support in addition to a wide range of new presenter tools.

Our latest M5 series projectors offer enhanced brightness and increased energy-savings for todays multi-purpose projection environments, said Bob Wudeck, Associate Vice President, Strategy and Business Development at BenQ America Corp. By increasing light levels to 3,000 lumens and extending lamp life to an incredible 10,000 hours, weve added tremendous value for users looking to bring amazing picture performance at a lower total cost of ownership for their small to medium-sized rooms.

Using BenQs world-leading SmartEco™ technology, the new M5 series projectors provide an industry-leading 10,000 hours of maximum lamp life to todays living room, boardroom, and classroom applications. As a result, users can reduce their energy consumption without compromising picture quality. To further reduce power consumption, a no source detected mode automatically lowers brightness to 30 percent when no display has been detected for more than three minutes. In Standby mode, BenQ projectors also lower power consumption to less than 0.5W during periods of inactivity.

Available in SVGA (MS504 and MS521), XGA (MX505 and MX522), and WXGA (MW523) resolutions, the new projectors feature BenQs Colorific image quality to provide users with accurate, crisp, and long lasting color. As a result, users experience up to 1 billion stunning colors without experiencing light burn or color degradation over extended usage – further reducing the devices total cost of ownership. Thanks to high contrast ratios of 13000:1, BenQs M5 series projectors deliver sharper picture quality, which enables the reproduction of finely detailed images in a variety of ambient lighting settings, adding flexibility of the projectors installation options.

For 3D entertainment, the MS521, MX522, and MW523 provide 3D Blu-ray compatibility while the MS504 and MX505 deliver stereoscopic 3D-ready projection – providing viewers with the same immersive 3D effects found in todays movie theaters. When purchasing a MS504 or MX505 projector, users also obtain 3D glasses, in addition to a content card and video card. For classroom settings, the MS504 and MX505 projectors add an audio pass-through function when teachers require only sound, while the projectors teaching templates enable presenters to easily write on whiteboards without the need to draw lines. To minimize disruptions, administrators can also easily replace lamps on the go using the devices new upper lamp door (MS504 and MX505).

Available end of Nov. 2013, BenQs new MS504, MS521, MX505, MX522, and MW523 retail at $429, $489, $499, $529, and $749 respectively. Additional information on BenQs full line of products is available at www.BenQ.us.
