Optoma unveils new laser ultra short throw home projector

Gamers, TV and sports fans and movie buffs can get a 100-inch diagonal image from just 30cm away with Optoma's new laser ultra short throw home entertainment projector, the HZ40UST – just launched. With ground-breaking laser technology and bright 4000 lumens, this Full HD 1080p projector is ideal for use any time of day. And with low latency, gamers will enjoy quick response times.

Simple to set up close to the screen or wall, the HZ40UST can project imagery without any shadows or cables running across the room.

The HZ40UST's sleek design, small chassis and crisp white colour fits perfectly into any interior. It comes equipped with a built-in speaker that delivers powerful 10W audio and an audio output connector is also included, enabling connection to external sound systems.

The HZ40UST's broad connectivity includes two HDMI and two VGA inputs for connection to any device. This means games consoles, Blu-ray players or digital television set top boxes can be simultaneously connected, making switching between sources literally the push of a button.

It can be turned into a smart projector by connecting an HDMI dongle like the Google Chromecast™, Amazon Fire™ or Apple TV™ to play games, stream videos and share photos on the big screen at home.

The HZ40UST displays true 3D content from almost any 3D source, including 3D Blu-ray players, 3D broadcasting and the latest generation games consoles.

For maximum contrast and brightness, it can be used with Optoma's 100" ambient light rejecting ALR100 screen.
