Complex ProAV installations just got easier with the release of Optoma's six new 515 Series ProScene projectors. Ranging from 5500 to 6000 lumens, these high-specification projectors, designed for professional installations, have extensive features previously available only on high priced projectors
The addition of these new models represents the evolution of Optoma projection expertise that has developed into engineered products that deliver outstanding brightness and unsurpassed image quality, performance and reliability. Whether its conference rooms, auditoriums, lecture halls, house of worship or edge blending applications, ProScene projectors are designed to meet any installation challenge.
All six new projectors are equipped with a 1.8x zoom, horizontal and vertical keystone, as well as four corner correction. This allows installers to individually adjust each corner of the image to create a perfectly square image - ideal for uneven walls or where a projector placement is awkward and needs to be installed at an angle.
In addition, if greater brightness is required, the geometric adjustment can also be used for image stacking. This enables higher brightness to be achieved by overlaying images and has added benefits of reducing the overall cost of installation and increasing reliability. And for a multi-projector display, Optoma's brightness matching feature ensures precise adjustment so multiple units can be perfectly matched.
Optoma's Senior Director of Product Management, Jon Grodem, said: "These new projectors give installers a additional advantage by offering the same high end features of more costly interchangeable lens projectors with the same brightness. All models feature a 1.8x zoom projection lens and lens shift to allow for easier installations – without the need for expensive interchangeable lenses."
HDBaseT functionality is also provided on three of these new models, giving integrators a simple and affordable solution when connecting and controlling the projector. HDBaseT connects all the various types of AV and control devices through a single CAT6 cable via a transmitter to the projector. Connectivity has never been easier.
The wired remote functionality allows all aspects of the projectors to be individually controlled without requiring line-of-sight to the projector; which is invaluable when using multiple units during live events.
Full support is provided for Crestron, Extron, AMX, PJ-Link and Telnet LAN protocols, which allow almost all functions to be controlled remotely across a network. Once installed, the projectors can be monitored and controlled over LAN. It can also provide email message alerts if an error occurs, a lamp fails or needs to be replaced, using Crestron Roomview™ software. Full 3D support (via HDMI 1.4a) for various devices completes an already impressive array of features. These projectors come with built-in speakers that deliver powerful 20W audio, and an audio output is also included, enabling connection to external sound systems.
The product range includes models feature WUXGA, 1080p, and WXGA models resolutions, an HDBaseT version.
The W515, W515T, EH515, EH515T, WU515 and WU515T will start shipping during October and are available through Optoma's authorized ProScene dealer and reseller channels. Estimated street pricing ranges from $1799 to $2399.
