Hitachi Joins the HDBaseT Alliance, Unveils Its First HDBaseT-Enabled Projector

Hitachi today at InfoComm 2013 made its first announcement as a member of the HDBaseT Alliance, releasing its new commercial HDBaseT-enabled projector Hitachi today at InfoComm 2013 made its first announcement as a member of the HDBaseT Alliance, releasing its new commercial HDBaseT-enabled projector. The Hitachi CP-WU9410 projector is on display at the HDBaseT Alliance booth (#2889).

Hitachi is one of the latest global manufacturers of consumer and commercial AV components to join the HDBaseT Alliance, a consortium of companies that works to promote and standardize HDBaseT technology. Powered by the Valens HDBaseT chipset, HDBaseT enables whole-home and commercial distribution of uncompressed HD multimedia content over a single CAT5e/6 cable.

"HDBaseT is unique in its ability to provide professional installers with a much simpler and more cost-effective way to transmit uncompressed HD video up to 100 meters," said Tatsuro Nakamura, Engineering Manager, Hitachi. The Hitachi CP-WU9410 dual lamp projector features 1-chip DLP, 8500 lumens, a WUXGA 1920 x 1200 resolution and four digital inputs (HDBaseT, HDMI x2, DVI-D x1).
