Optoma adds short throw projector range to its 515 series

Complex ProAV installations are now simpler than ever with the release of Optoma's new short throw range for its 515 projector series. The new range includes WXGA at 5500 lumens, Full HD 1080p at 5000 lumens and WUXGA at 5500 lumens. Both the 1080p and WUXGA models are also available with optional HDBaseT™. The new fixed lens models come with a throw ratio of 0.8:1 and have an impressive lens shift of up to +25% vertical and 10% horizontal. The combination of the new short throw lens and impressive lens shift, which is unusual in short throw projectors, make these ultra-flexible in installations such as retail, museums, education and the corporate sector.

All 515 projectors come with the added benefit of four corner adjustment. This allows quick and accurate installation - ideal for uneven walls or where a projector placement is tricky and needs to be installed at an angle.

Integrated edge blending now with every ZU850

Optoma's high brightness ZU850 laser projector now has built-in edge blending software as standard.Intuitive and easy to use, the user interface for the new integrated software is identical to Optoma's Chameleon GB-200 blending and warping processor.Carley Everton, ProAV Channel Manager, said: "The built in software saves installers the cost of additional hardware and, by making the user interface consistent with the Chameleon GB-200, saves time for installers who are already familiar with this." EIKI’s EK-810U Laserprojektoren sorgen mit einer Dual-Screen-Projektion für die lebensechte und detailgetreue Darstellung sensibler Inhalte und Fakten.

Strategisch angesiedelt im Stadtzentrum von Columbia ist das South Carolina State House der Sitz von South Carolina's Landesregierung. Das State House beheimatet das Büro des Gouverneurs sowie die House und Senate Chambers. Die South Carolina Senate Chamber ist der Arbeitsort des Senats von South Carolina. Hier wird über alle Gesetzesentwürfe diskutiert und abgestimmt sobald sie aus einem Committee kommen. Auf Grund der Vielzahl und der Tragweite der Entscheidungen die hier getroffen werden ist es besonders wichtig Unterlagen und Dokumente klar und unverfälscht zu präsentieren. Aus diesem Grund wurde das State House jetzt mit hochmoderner Projektionstechnik von EIKI International Inc. aus Rancho Santa Margarita ausgestattet. Gattis Professional Audio aus Lexington in South Carolina, ein Full-Service-Audio-Video-Fachhändler mit Spezialisierung auf den Kirchen- und Regierungssektor, erhielt den Zuschlag für die Ausstattung des State Houses mit neuster Medientechnik. Der Geschäftsführer Sid Gattis erörtert das Projekt und seine Entscheidung zwei EIKI EK-810U Laserprojektoren einzusetzen.

"Es war ein Projekt mit langer Vorlaufzeit. Projektbeginn war im Sommer 2016, der Projektabschluss erfolgte erst im Dezember, " sagt Gattis. "Innerhalb der SC Senate Chamber befinden sich 46 Schreibpulte für die gewählten Senatoren und das Podium ist der Arbeitsplatz für den Senatspräsident, den Reading Clerk, den Senate Clerk und zusätzliche Mitarbeiter. Wir hatten bereits ein sehr effizientes Audio-System installiert. Da die vorhandene Videotechnik jedoch beinahe 10 Jahre alt war, wurde die Entscheidung getroffen sowohl die Projektoren, wie auch die entsprechende Infrastruktur auf den neusten Stand zu bringen. Die Senate Chamber hat zwei in die kunstvoll verzierten Holztäfelungen rechts und links des Podiums integrierte Bildwände. Die beiden EIKI Projektoren projizieren aus zwei Kammern am Ende des Raums."

"Die EIKI Projektoren werden von den Senatoren, externen Rednern und wichtigen Gästen für Präsentationen vor dem gesamten Senat genutzt, " unterstreicht Gattis. "Trotz der notwendigen gelegentlichen Renovierungsarbeiten ist die ursprüngliche Architektur immer erhalten geblieben. Deshalb war es wichtig die Projektoren so zu installieren, dass sie die Ästhetik der vorhandenen Architektur nicht stören."

Der EIKI Laserprojektor EK-810U verfügt über eine Lichtleistung von 8.000 Lumen, ein Kontrastverhältnis von 100.000 : 1 und eine besonders lebensnahe und brillante Farbwiedergabe durch den Einsatz von blauen und roten Laserdioden. Im Vergleich zu herkömmlichen laserbasierten Projektionssystemen die mit nur blauen Laserdioden arbeiten überzeugt das EIKI System dank der zusätzlichen roten Laserdiode mit einer hervorragenden Darstellung der Rottöne, ohne dabei die Darstellung von blau oder grün negativ zu beeinflussen – der EK-810U überwindet den Kompromiss zwischen hoher Lichtleistung und stabilem Farbraum.

Auf die Frage welchen Einfluss diese Attribute auf die Entscheidung zwei EK-810U im State House einzusetzen hatten, antwortet Gattis wie folgt: "Wir wollten Full-HD Geräte und der Kunde war insbesondere an den Vorteilen von Laserprojektoren interessiert. Beim EIKI EK-810U ist die Bildqualität sehr klar und scharf mit großartiger Farbdarstellung – auch in Räumen mit viel Umgebungslicht."

"Und da Lasertechnologie um ein Vielfaches robuster als das traditionelle Projektionslampensystem ist" fährt Gattis fort, "machten die Fähigkeiten dieser Projektoren sie zu ersten Wahl. Ebenfalls wichtig ist, dass diese Projektoren deutlich weniger gewartet werden müssen, als viele andere Projektorentypen."

Panasonic launches laser successor to industry workhorse projector

Panasonic will introduce a new 20,000 lumens projector at ISE 2017, a laser light source companion to the PT-DZ21K, Europe's best selling high-brightness projector. The PT-RZ21K is a 3-Chip DLP™ SOLID SHINE laser series aimed at the rental, events and large venue market. It is compatible with existing Panasonic lenses and comes in a similarly compact, lightweight body as the DZ21K, which became an industry essential since its launch in 2012.

The RZ21K generates up to 20,000 lm of brightness at WUXGA or SXGA+ resolution using dual solid-state laser drives. A durable dust-proof optical system means that the projector offers extended maintenance free operation beyond lamped rivals.

Beim X12000 setzt BenQ auf die fortschrittliche ColorSpark HLD LED Technologie, welche ein größeres Farbspektrum darstellt. Verglichen mit herkömmlicher LED Technologie, sorgt ColorSpark HLD LED für konstante Helligkeit und eine verbesserte und langlebige Farbperformance für einen Zeitraum von über 20.000 Stunden. Durch die Verwendung dieser neuen LED Technologie und dem Einsatz von CinematicColor deckt der X12000 den DCI-P3 Farbraum ab und stellt Farben somit kräftig und lebendig dar. Zudem überzeugt der X12000 in puncto TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), da dank der LED Lichtquelle ein Lampenwechsel überflüssig wird.

Flexible Installationsmöglichkeiten
Mit ihrem stromlinienförmigen Design und der unauffälligen Front-Belüftung arbeiten die neuen Projektoren flüsterleise und fügen sich nahtlos in ein gehobenes Heimkino-Ambiente ein. Die Bild-Projektion kann durch die Lens-Shift-Funktion ohne Verzerrungen oder Trapezeffekte sowohl auf der vertikalen als auch auf der horizontalen Achse verschoben werden, so dass die Projektoren ohne Positionsveränderung oder digitale Bildkorrekturen flexibel einsetzbar sind. Dank des Zoom-Verhältnisses von 1,5:1 kann der Abstand zur Leinwand ganz individuell ausgerichtet werden und bietet somit ein Höchstmaß an Flexibilität. Die leicht zugängliche Schnittstellenanordnung an der Rückseite bietet zahlreiche Anschlussmöglichkeiten und separiert Strom- und Videokabel mit ausreichend Abstand, um Interferenzen und Kabeldurcheinander zu vermeiden.

Panasonic projection line-up lights up ISE 2017

Panasonic today (Tuesday 7th February 2017) announced the launch of a new 20,000 lumens laser projector, a companion to the PT-DZ21K, Europe's best selling high-brightness projector. The launch of the PT-RZ21K, a 3-Chip DLP™ SOLID SHINE laser series aimed at the rental, events and large venue market, is one of several announcements made by the Japanese manufacturer at the show in Amsterdam.

In addition, Panasonic has revamped its projector range for education and corporate environments, with six new user-friendly, high-brightness and lightweight portable units. The 3LCD PT-VZ580 series comprises three wireless and three network capable models offering 5,000 lm of brightness at WUXGA resolution, 5,300 lm at WXGA, and 5,500 lm at XGA.

The Panasonic booth (Hall 1, Stand H20) is split in to audiovisual solutions for the education, corporate, public displays and live event sectors. It features a live event 'showstopper' that combines live show and moving, 30,000 lumen laser projection on to giant flying objects

Panasonic has partnered with four companies to bring this to life, Painting with Light created a show and content which is projected on to moving AirOrbs, helium filled spheres, provided by Airstage. d3 Technologies is providing the content playback, real-time mapping and complete integration of all the partnering technologies, while Blacktrax is providing the tracking system that allows accurate projection on to the moving objects.

The show also sees the official launch of LinkRay. Introduced as a concept at ISE 2016, the 1-2-1 marketing solution uses individual codes within LED light sources as a way to deliver digital data. Visitors to the stand are able to receive product information direct to their smart phones, from light plates and displays screens throughout the stand.

For digital signage, Panasonic is previewing the SF2 series, a new range of Full HD E-LED display panels, available in four sizes and featuring wide-view IPS panel technology, with 450 cd/m2 brightness. The series' E-LED backlighting is highly energy efficient, ensuring the displays are cost-effective enough to run around the clock.

Additionally, Panasonic has introduced two new 10-point touch panel displays, which promise to make digital whiteboard communication affordable for business and education. Complementing the existing interactive display line up, the 75 inch 4K direct-LED panel (TH-75BQE1) and 65-inch Full HD direct-LED panel (TH-65BFE1) are compatible with Panasonic's Whiteboard Software when connected to a PC via USB and HDMI or VGA.

The reduced operating and rental costs associated with laser technology means that live events incorporating projection become more practical. NEC unveils enhanced PA Series installation projector range for brighter and larger images

Compact projector solution for large venue applications and vertical markets boasts Ultra HD support, wider colour space, scaling, resolution and noise reduction NEC Display Solutions Europe has today launched five updated XGA, WXGA and WUXGA resolution LCD projectors in its PA Series professional range. These latest innovative projectors in the highly-regarded PA Series range deliver a wealth of enhancements to image brightness and contrast, rich colour space conversion with HDR, connectivity support and operational lifespan.

The compact PA Series installation projectors are ideal for customers looking for larger bright pictures in fantastic quality, with suitability for large venue and installed applications. The new models in the PA Series incorporate the latest iteration of NECs unique Scaler Chip. This integrated picture processor can simultaneously manage 4K/60p input, as well as sharing signal output with multiple daisy-chained connected projectors. It represents an enormous leap forward in picture processing, with true flagship performance in noise reduction, de-interlacing, scaling and full 10bit colour processing.

Additional developments include colour space conversion with Rec2020 to Rec709 specification support, along with HDR10 media profile and 3D support. These capabilities are further supported with a variety of inputs and outputs including HDMI and HDBaseT-Out. Hassle-free installation and remote adjustments can be performed with the motorised zoom, focus and shift as well as the free tilt and portrait mode installation capabilities. Picture sharpness processing has been upgraded with the implementation of NEC's fourth generation Sweetvision® engine.

The latest enhancements to our established NEC PA Series projector range builds upon our success in delivering accurate, bright and clear projected images while still delivering the latest in resolution and image processing technologies, said Gerd Kaiser, Product Line Manager Large Venue Projectors at NEC Display Solutions Europe. The latest iteration of the range also sees significant gains in the operational life of both the lamp and filter. In professional venues such as education, museums, offices and retail, this is essential.

Public and professional venue use is further enhanced by support for the latest copyright protection standards for peace of mind. This allows UHD Blu-Ray and 4K content to be played out via the HDMI interface and for the projector to manage copyright compliance directly.

The five new projectors in the PA Series range offer high performance and outstanding picture quality for professional applications. They combine contrast ratios of up to 10,000:1 with a broad feature set that includes highly flexible geometry controls to adapt output for curved and irregular surfaces, free orientation for angled installation, multi-screen and picture-in-picture projection output along with stacking and blending support.

Cost-efficient installation options are increased significantly with support for Cat 6 network cabling. Using this powerful cable option, content can be transferred to the projector from up to 100m away using the HDBaseT connectivity standard. Furthermore, multiple projectors can be fed from the one source and daisy-chained from a PA Series projector using the unique HDBaseT-Out interface not offered by other solutions.

Environmental and long-life considerations are central to the PA Series projectors. With lamp life increased to 5,000 hours, 10,000 hours of filter run time and standby power consumption of just 0.3W, PA Series projectors represent a low-maintenance, low-downtime and reduced consumable consumption solution. The updated range reduces running costs through longer parts-replacement intervals, energy efficiency and fewer causes for physical intervention.
